Le traitement se fait sans consommation d’énergie par une filtration naturelle et végétale. La fosse toutes eaux reçoit les eaux usées de l'habitation et assure la décantation et la digestion des boues. Le biofiltre compact à fragments de coco assure le traitement de l'eau issue de la fosse. L'eau est ensuite évacuée sans rejets nocifs dans le milieu naturel grâce aux excellentes performances épuratoires des fragments de coco.
